Only if you want one. On high-dust ranges a premium mechanical pre adds cheap holding capacity, but a Camfil bag alone protects the HEPA without it. MERV 9/9A, guaranteed 9–12 months.

A high-efficiency Camfil bag filter ahead of your HEPAs already does the pre-filter's job. Running a cheap panel pre in front of it is usually redundant, and it quietly runs up your labor and hazardous-disposal costs.

How often should shooting range filters be changed?
By pressure drop, not the calendar. Camfil's guidance: change bag and HEPA filters when the pressure drop reaches double the initial resistance (or 1.5″ w.g. for Hi-Flo SR bags). The 30/30 Dual 9 pre-filters are guaranteed for 9 months in heavy-load and 12 months in light-to-moderate applications. We can help you set a schedule off your gauge readings.
Which filter sizes fit my range's ventilation?
Tell us your housing dimensions or current part numbers and we'll match you across all three stages. The Dual 9 comes in 1″, 2″, and 4″ depths from 12×12 to 25×29; Hi-Flo SR bags in 12″, 22″, and 30″ depths; the VG-SR HEPA in 24×12×12 and 24×24×12.
Are my old range filters hazardous waste?
Lead-loaded filters from range ventilation typically test as hazardous waste and can't go in the dumpster. Pair your supply order with our disposal program and we take them, packaged, manifested, and disposed of with certified proof, under the same program as your other range waste.
Why not just buy cheaper pleated filters?
Two reasons. Cheap pleats rely on an electrostatic charge that fades in service, so real efficiency drops and lead reaches your HEPAs early. And each Dual 9 outlasts 3–4 budget pleats, so you buy fewer filters, change them less often, and generate less hazardous waste to dispose of.
What rubber should I use to top off my berm?
It depends on your trap system and granule spec. Send us your trap brand and dimensions and we'll quote the right grade, and if your berm is due for mining, we can top it off with fresh rubber during the same overnight visit.
Can I put supplies and services on one invoice?
Yes. Filters, rubber, cleaning, berm mining, disposal, and metals buyback can run under one program, and your recycling revenue offsets the supply costs.
